Hardwell przed Skrillexem i Kygo podczas IDMA 2016
Na zakończenie Winter Music Conference, już po weekendowym szaleństwie pod tytułem Ultra Music Festival, w Miami na Florydzie odbyła się 31. ceremonia rozdania nagród IDMA.
International Dance Music Awards 2016 to wielki triumf Hardwella – holenderski DJ i producent zwyciężył w aż sześciu kategoriach, wyprzedzając tym samym Skrillexa (4 sztuki), Kygo (3 nagrody). Po 2 wyróżnienia otrzymali Armin van Buuren, Calvin Harris i duet Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Szkoda tylko, że zwycięzca w kategorii najlepszy w kategorii 'Best POP/EDM DJ’ Calvin Harris okazał się również… najlepszym producentem w ogóle. Dzięki Diplo, Skrillexowi i Guetcie swoje pierwsze nagrody dostali też Justin Bieber i Nicky Minaj. Takie czasy?
